Elisa holds a Master degree in Sciences and Management from University of Bologna, Italy. Her thesis research involved the use of drones for mapping and counting semi fossorial rodent burrows. She also conducted research within various projects involving drones and remote sensing , including Horizon Europe EarthBridge project, a project involving the ecology of Falco vespertinus, or monitoring of stray dogs in Patagonia.
Elisa has joined the BEAST ERC project to investigate how remotely-sensed spectral diversity changes in time, how this is related to changes of taxonomic diversity, and how this plays out at different spatial scales.
